Don O’Neal and Jay Dickens Claim Winternationals Title

Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesBy Ben Shelton – Aberdeen, MS (02/27/13) – Jay Dickens Racing Engines (JDRE) and Don O’Neal started the year with a bang by capturing the 37th Annual Dart Winternationals title at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida).

Don O’Neal from Martinsville, Indiana recently opened his season during the annual Speedweeks in Florida. He took part in the 37th Annual Dart Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park over the course of February 11th-16th, 2013 in his familiar #71 Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model and enjoyed a great performance throughout the course of the week.

O’Neal won the Dart Winternationals points title and the $5,000 bonus with an outstanding week of consistency. O’Neal earned podium finishes in five out of the six events including one $10,000 win on February 15th to go with a pair of second place finishes, a pair of third place finishes and an eighth place finish.

“Our car was awesome the whole week at East Bay, and I’m really excited about this season,” commented O’Neal. “This Mastersbilt and Jay Dickens Racing Engine combo is really working well for us.”
