Paducah, KY- March 12, 2013- Paducah International Raceway is approaching the end of the off season. Open practice sessions will be held on Saturday, March 16th and on Sunday, March 17th from 12 – 5 PM.
The season opener, will be on Friday, March 22nd. Hot laps will begin at 7:00 and the green flag drops at 7:30. . Friday’s races include a full race program, Super Late Models, Modified, Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, 4cyl Warriors and High School Warriors plus Kentucky Vintage and the Mini Sprints. 2012 Track Champions, Super Late Model -Tim Brown, Modified – JR Mason, Pro Late Model – Cameron Brown, Street Stock – Mike Watson, 4cyl Warrior -Kyle Clark and High School Warriors – AJ Keeling are expected to be in attendance.
Upcoming events at PIR include the Inaugural NDRL “Let’s Get Dirty 75” paying $20,000 to the winner, Early entrants who have committed to racing are, Jason Feger, Bobby Peirce, Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Brian Shirley, Dennis Erb, Tyler Reddick and Scott Bloomquist to mention just a few. The Modified class will have Nascar stars Kenny Schrader driving the Federated Auto Parts #9, Kenny Wallace driving the UNOH modified, and the current Nationwide points leader Justin Allgaier in his Brandt modified #31. Also appearing for a special concert will be Cody McCarver (former member of The Confederate Railroad ). The World of Outlaw Sprint Cars will be roaring into PRI Friday, April 19th.
