NDRL - National Dirt Racing LeaguePittsburgh, PA (March 19, 2013) Brian Shirley and Jason Feger have done a lot of racing the past few seasons. Whether it be with national touring organizations, extra paying regional events, or the UMP Summernationals ‘Hell Tour’, but neither Shirley or Feger have never seen something like what the NDRL has put together for the 2013 season.

‘It’s crazy’, said 2012 UMP ‘Hell Tour’ and national champion Brian Shirley, ‘as a fan, one ticket gets you a concert and get to see a heck of a race with a lot of standout drivers. I can’t thank the NDRL enough for what they have done in putting this mini-series together.’

The NDRL kicks off their inaugural season with two must see $20,000 to-win events at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO on Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30.

‘We’re starting out at two good facilities, Paducah International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, two of the better tracks we race at,’ Chatham, IL’s Shirley said. ‘The point fund is awesome, with the ‘Hell Tour’ you had to run twenty some nights in thirty days for $25,000, where this NDRL deal has five races for $20,000. Five for $20,000 (to-win) point fund is definitely the most bang for your buck. I’m very thankful that the NDRL is going to try to invest in a mini-series like this for a racer like me that is independent; you couldn’t ask for any more than to go down there and race for back to back 20k to win races.’

Former UMP National and ‘Hell Tour’ Champion Jason Feger shared the same thoughts, ‘I think it’s going to be tremendous, drivers are tired of doing two day, $10,000 or $15,000 to-win shows so for them to have two $20,000 to-win shows on two separate days at two great race tracks is pretty awesome. We’ve run quite a few races at Paducah International Raceway,’ the Bloomington, IL driver claimed, ‘and it’s one of my favorite tracks, so I’m really looking forward to that. We’ve been running pretty good at Pevely (Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55) the last few years, and it’s still one of those places I’ve never been able to pick up a win, but I really like the place, it’s really fun to drive and always puts on some great racing.’

Feger continued to talk about the mini-series and the year end point fund, ‘I think you absolutely have to look at running the other races, it’s definitely something worth looking at. Just one thing you have to know is that every time you go to those races it’s going to be loaded with a lot of good talent, so it’s going to be really hard but it’s going to have to be something to consider.’

Ticket prices for both events are $35 ($30 pre-order) for general admission (including a FREE Fan Pit pass) and $45 for pit entry and can be ordered at www.theNDRL.com. Reserved seating is priced at $40 ($35 pre-order). Reserved tickets for Paducah International Raceway can be ordered by calling the track office at (270) 898-7469.
