Lucas Oil Late Model Series(MUSCATINE, IOWA) Brian Birkhofer and his #15b team ventured to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky and the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on April 12-13 for the first two events on the highly-anticipated National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) schedule. At PIR on Friday, Brian ran third in his heat race, which locked him into the inside of the seventh row for the start of the $20,000 to win feature event. The Muscatine, Iowa native moved forward in the rough and tumble 75-lapper and eventually crossed underneath the checkers in the eighth spot.

Another $20,000 winner’s check was up for grabs on Saturday at I-55. Brian finished second in heat race action and later rolled off from the outside of the fifth row in the 75-lap main event. His MB Customs mount was on a rail during the race, as he blitzed all the way up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only winner Jimmy Owens. Brian currently finds himself fourth in the latest version of the NDRL point standings following the doubleheader weekend. Complete results can be viewed online at www.thendrl.com.

The Birkhofer Racing team will continue their busy month of April with a trio of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles out east from April 19-21. Up first will be a trip to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania on Friday followed by a visit to the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday.
