Lucas Oil Late Model Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 BMR team invaded the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on May 17-18 for the 2nd Annual ‘Bad Boy 98.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolled into BMS to preside over the $20,000 to win extravaganza. On Friday night during preliminary action, Billy timed in fourteenth fastest in Group B during qualifying and later rallied to grab the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race.

When the action really heated up at Batesville on Saturday evening, Billy started the 98-lap main event from the outside of the eighth row. The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer then put on a show in front of his hometown fans by blasting past twelve competitors en route to a strong fourth place performance. Billy followed only race winner John Blankenship, Brady Smith, and Steve Francis to the checkers. Complete results from the ‘Bad Boy 98′ weekend can be viewed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

Next up for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be a huge extended weekend of racing from May 23-26 in the states of Missouri and Illinois. The 21st Annual Lucas Oil ‘Show-Me 100’ – Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Things will start at Wheatland with a complete $5,000 to win Lucas Oil MLRA show on Thursday, while preliminary action for the ‘Show-Me 100’ will take place on Friday. Saturday’s 100-lapper, which will be co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and MLRA, boasts a hefty $30,000 payday and will be taped to air on CBS, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, SPEED, and MAVTV for a total of eight air dates in 2013.

Billy will also take part in the Crawford Supply Race of Champions Presented By Traeger Grills on Friday night. All past ‘Show Me 100’ winners are eligible to compete in the special $1,000 to win race. Billy is a three-time victor in the crown jewel event, as he reached victory lane back in 1993, 1994, and 1996 when the race was held at the venerable West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri.

Following the long three days at Wheatland, the Memorial Day weekend for the #21 team will wrap up on Sunday at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The annual running of the ‘Budweiser 50’ will be held at the St. Louis area venue on Sunday evening and a $10,000 top prize will be on the line in the UMP DIRTcar Series program. A complete show featuring qualifying, heat races, consolation events, and a 50-lap A-Main is in store for fans and competitors alike on Sunday. Billy, who has enjoyed much success at the 3/8-mile oval in recent years, took the win in last year’s version of the ‘Budweiser 50.’ Much more information concerning the action-packed weekend at Wheatland and Granite City can be found by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com and www.tricityspeedway.net.
