NDRL - National Dirt Racing LeaguePittsburgh, PA (June 22, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) is excited to announce a new addition to the 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100 weekend that has already been generating a ton of buzz across the dirt late model landscape.

The stars and cars of the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Crate Late Models Touring Series including point leader Rick Singleton of Hesston, PA, Wexford, PA’s Mike Pegher Jr., Glenn Elliott from Finksburg, MD, West Virginia’s young gun Ryan Montgomery and Mayport, PA’s Joe Martin as well as many other crate late model standouts will join the NDRL Super Late Models as a support class along with the United Emod Series (UEMS) for the huge 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100 weekend at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 10, 11, and 12.

“Mike and I are really excited to have RUSH now be part of the Pittsburgher,” stated RUSH Series Co-Director Vicki Emig. “Ironically the Mileys had always hoped that we’d be able to be part of PPMS’ marquee event, but unfortunately their traditional date was already taken. With Mr. Kennedy’s NDRL sanction and the event now being moved to October 10, 11, and 12 it becomes a win-win situation for all concerned! RUSH racers will now be able to compete in two awesome events at one facility with $1,500 to-win on Friday and $3,000 on Saturday.”

“We cannot thank John Kennedy enough for his support of RUSH,” stated RUSH Series Co-Director Mike Leone. “He has been a huge help in making our Series successful not only through his weekly commitment to RUSH at McKean County Raceway, but also by allowing us to be part of their “Fall Classic” along with his $20,000 to-win NDRL event that will take place at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in September. And to now have the opportunity to finally be part of the Pittsburgher event with not one, but two big events is great and we’re truly appreciative.”

The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Touring Series will compete for $1,500 to-win on Friday, October 11 and a stout $3,000 to-win on Saturday, October 12 as part of the 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100. ‘Mike and Vicki with the RUSH series have been a huge part of getting the NDRL off the ground with their support at our shows at both Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA on Labor Day, September 2 and now at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for the Pittsburgher weekend,’ NDRL President Jason Shank mentioned. ‘A lot of the drivers that compete with the RUSH Touring Series will eventually be in super late models and play a big part in helping the sport grow, they are our future in the super late models and we’re glad they’re going to be a part of our season finale at Pittsburgh.’

The addition of the RUSH Touring Series gives fans more bang for their buck as three divisions will compete for prime winnings and total purse monies. Tickets for the Pittsburgher weekend at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will be available soon at www.theNDRL.com.
