World of Outlaws Late Model Series(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith Racing stormed into the Land of Lincoln on June 21-22 for a pair of UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals stops at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. On Friday night at Granite City, Brady Smith timed in sixth quickest in his group during the qualifying session and later moved up to take the heat race win. After starting from the outside of the front row in the $10,000 to win feature event, Brady paced the stout field for the first seventeen circuits. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace eventually nabbed a strong runner-up performance in the 40-lapper behind only victor Chris Simpson.

Another $10,000 top prize was on the line on Saturday evening at Fairbury. Brady posted the fourth fastest time in his group during qualifying and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the eighth row in the 50-lap feature event, the driver known as the “Prodigy” picked off four competitors on his way to an eleventh place effort. Complete results from the doubleheader can be viewed online at www.thehelltour.com.

The #2 team will now turn their attention to the 7th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ on June 27-29 at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The three-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series extravaganza will kick-off with a pair of $6,000 to win prelims on Thursday and Friday. Things will heat up in a big way on Saturday, as a 100-lap main event will close out the weekend. A $30,000 payday will once again greet the winner of this year’s version of the ‘Firecracker 100.’ Brady’s best run in the ‘Firecracker 100’ came back in 2009 when he finished fourth in the extra-distance affair.
