Wheatland, Missouri – July 2nd, 2013 – The summer will really heat up this Saturday night, July 6th at the Diamond of Dirt tracks for the Casey’s General Stores Mid Season Championship presented by Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper. Last week, the on track excitement had fans begging for more. Mark your calendars now to see what will shape up on Saturday night! In addition to crowning a Mid-Season champ in each of the four Lucas Oil Weekly Championship Series classes, all area Casey’s General Stores have $2 Off coupons available for this week only! Stop by your local Casey’s (in an approximate 50 mile radius of Wheatland, MO) to save on this weekend’s admission.

Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company will have a display on the spectator midway and Casey’s General Store will also have a special booth with give-a-ways. Come early to visit these great supporters of area racing. Rods and Relics car club will have some vintage cars for fans to check out and snap photos of. There is something for the race fan of all ages with the Frog’s Sign Jr. Fan Club! The JFC is giving away two Razr Kick Scooter’s and will have fun games for Kids to enjoy.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modified leaders are only separated by two points going into this weekend’s race. Jon Sheets sits atop the leader board with current National USRA Point Leader, Terry Schultz two points behind. Jason Russell is third in the A-Modified class, but also is the leader in the ALPS Food Stores ULMA class. Russell pulls double duty running in both classes every week and continues to finish up front keeping him in on top of the standings.

Russell leads the Late Models with Jeremy Kelley 76 points behind in second. Payton Looney is third in overall standings, but on top of the overall ULMA Rookie of the Year point standings. Tommy Cordray and Jason Bodenhamer are only a few points behind, rounding out the top five.

In the Carson’s Corner NAPA Factory Stocks, Brian Schutt leads Marc Carter into this weekends action. Chip Shaddox sits in third place over Johnny Coats and Kenny Carroll. These top five drivers have put on outstanding shows week after week and continue to impress with exciting side-by-side racing and finishes. Carter is only 32 points behind Schutt and after an impressive finish for Shaddox last week, this weekend could be a complete toss up.

For the Tri-Lakes RV B-Mods, 2012 Season Champion, Kris Jackson continues to lead the points battle. Ryan Edde and Colt Cheevers are in a close battle for the second spot with Edde only six points ahead of Cheevers. The B-Mods will also be up for a special $500 to Win, 25 lap feature. Come out for the Casey’s General Stores Mid-Season Points Championship presented by Ozarks Coca-Cola and see which of your favorite drivers end up in Victory Lane!

The E3 Spark Plugs Monster Truck Nationals return in 2013 and the Hickory County Fair will be held at Lucas Oil Speedway for the first time in June.
