Wheatland, Missouri – July 19th, 2013 – Lucas Oil Speedway is pleased to announce the Battle of the Badges is coming to Wheatland, Missouri! The “cops” race will make three stops across the state in 2013, with an appearance on the Diamond of Dirt in conjunction with the USMTS Slick Mist Shoot Out on August 10th. The Battle of the Badges race will feature Missouri’s finest Law Enforcement Officers, all racing to raise money for charity and for the title of top cop. The officers will be driving late model Ford Crown Victoria’s that will provide a “cop car” look for the race. In order for officers to compete they must raise a large amount of money for various charity organizations. The event on August 10th will benefit Special Olympics Missouri.
The USMTS will be in the middle of a big swing across the Midwest when they make a stop here in Wheatland during the Hunt for the Championship. Don’t miss the modified madness during their only appearance at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2013. Also in action will be the Carson’s Corner NAPA Factory Stocks and the Tri-Lakes RV B-Mods.
Lucas Oil Speedway will welcome all Special Olympic current athletes or Unified Partners in “team apparel” to the event for FREE. Plus family of Special Olympic Athletes joining them will be admitted for only $5. These special offers are available in advance only, as tickets will be distributed through Special Olympic coaches and volunteers at area events.
