GREENWOOD, NE (July 19, 2013) – Jason Feger is coming off his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series win and will start on the pole of the Silver Dollar Nationals feature event on Saturday. Two-time series champion, Jimmy Owens will start in the outside-pole position for Saturday’s $27,000-to-win main event at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE. Feger and Owens scored the most passing points amongst the 55 competitors in Friday night’s Heat Races. The event is co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA Series.

Feger started third in his first round heat race and came home the winner. In his second round heat race, Feger came from the ninth starting-spot to finish second. “This is the first time we have ever been here, I really like this place it and suits my driving style. We are looking forward to tomorrow night and hope to win another Lucas Oil feature event,” said Feger after his heat race win.

Owens came from ninth in his first round heat race to finish third. The second round heat race was a bit easier for him, as he cruised on for the win from his third starting position. “We ran well here last year and we really like the track. It will be good to start up front and hopefully, we stay up there. We hope we can put on an exciting show for the fans tomorrow night. This is a strong field of drivers, and you have the best in the country here,” stated Owens.

The defending Silver Dollar Nationals winner, Brian Birkhofer, will start sixth in the feature event. The inaugural winner of the event in 2011, Don O’Neal, will start seventh. Current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point’s leader, John Blankenship, will start 12th in the 80-lap main event. Current Lucas Oil MLRA point’s leader, Terry Phillips will start on the front row of the first B-Main. Mike Marlar will start on the pole of the second B-Main.

Chris Simpson, Will Vaught, Tim Isenberg, Steve Francis, and Jason Feger won their respective 1st-round heat races. Don O’Neal, Brian Birkhofer, Tony Jackson Jr., Mike Marlar, and Jimmy Owens won their respective 2nd-round heat races.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will cap-off the ASi Crown Jewel Cup presented by DirtonDirt.com event at I-80 on Saturday, July 20th. There will be two B-Mains, Non-Qualifiers Dash, and the 80-lap Silver Dollar Nationals main event. For more information, visit www.i-80speedway.com.
