World of Outlaws Late Model Series(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) Rick Eckert once again plans to take advantage of an off-weekend from the rigors of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour to drive Paul Crowl’s machine this Saturday, August 10. Rick and the #7 team will meet up at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday, as the Three State Flyers will preside over a $3,000 to win showdown. In a limited number of starts in the #7 ride, Rick has already reached victory lane on four different occasions this year.

The Rick Eckert Racing team recently returned home from a very busy week in the Upper Midwest with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. With stops at the Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin, the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, and the Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa from July 30-August 5, Rick competed in four high-profile events. The York, Pennsylvania ace was able to claim one Top Five finish and two additional Top Ten performances during his stint in the Badger and Hawkeye states.

His best effort came on Tuesday, July 30 at Shawano, as Rick set fast time during qualifying, won his heat race, and later wound up fourth in the
$10,000 to win feature behind only victor Gregg Satterlee, Tim McCreadie, and Josh Richards. In the biggest event of the trip, “Scrub” performed well in the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals’ at Cedar Lake. After taking the win in his heat race, Rick slipped out of the top ten during the 100-lapper, but rallied back towards the front to place seventh in the final finishing order of the crown jewel event.

Rick currently finds himself fourth in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings following the last point’s race on Monday at Independence, where Eckert wound up behind paid for eleventh at the pay window.
