It was another perfect night for the Brinkman Motorsports team and driver Chad Simpson at Jackson County Speedway. Starting on the pole and blasting his Mastersbilt Hot Rod out front for his second win in two nights for the Hawkeye Sweep.
There was plenty of action on the fast quarter mile with racing door handle to door handle throughout the field. Nothing was more exciting for the local home crowd then watching Justin Kay and Orange Kay Farms special work the traffic and storm toward the front. Justin Kay started 10th and finished 2nd behind Chad Simpson. In the Sport Mod feature Justin’s Dad Ricky won the race making a great night for the family as they honored Dusty Kay.
Jake Meier put in another good run in the “Cool Blue” #20 for 3rd with Denny Eckrich and Chris Simpson rounding out the top five. The Hard Charger was Terry Neal who was back in a Late Model after some time away as he started 22nd and finished 9th. Terry Neal was driving a Justin Kay backup car and found the going rough in his heat race when he started rough by going up and out of the track. He recovered nicely in the feature.
