MARS DIRTcar Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) returned to action on August 16-18 at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas, as the 21st Annual ‘Topless 100’ took center stage. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the prestigious roofless event and a whopping $40,000 top prize was on the line. On Friday night, Billy Moyer clicked off the fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later finished second in his stacked heat race behind only prelim victor Dale McDowell.

Following a rain-out on Saturday evening, Billy started the 100-lap crown jewel headliner from the outside of the fourth row on Sunday afternoon. The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer moved all the way up to third in the running order before a flat tire on lap 69 caused him to retire from the extra-distance race. Billy was relegated to a disappointing twenty-second place performance in this year’s edition of the ‘Topless 100.’ Full results from the long weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway can be viewed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

The famed #21 team will now set their sights on a pair of MARS DIRTcar Series and UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned races over the upcoming August 23-24 weekend. On Friday night, the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky will play host to the ‘USA World 50,’ which boasts a $5,000 winner’s check. Another $5,000 will be up for grabs on Saturday evening at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri in the annual running of the ‘John Mannlein Memorial.’ Additional information concerning the doubleheader weekend can be accessed by logging onto www.marsracingseries.com.
