Back-to-back wins net Dover, Mo, driver an extra $1,034
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2013) – Terry McCarl set quick time, Saturday, at 34 Raceway for night number two of the MOWA Sprint Car shootout, but it was Danny Lasoski who stole the show and the big payday at the end of the night.

After winning Friday, Lasoski had his sites set on the $5,000 payday, Saturday, and the $1,034 bonus that went with the sweep.

Lasoski set fifth quick time, but wasted no time getting to front of his heat race, as he one ever race he entered during the evening.

McCarl, who ran a fast lap of 12.456, or 108.382 mph, helped Lasoski’s cause, unwillingly, by drawing a six for the dash invert. The draw put Lasoski on the outside of the front row for the dash. McCarl was the fastest car in the dash, but couldn’t get close enough to Lasoski to make any noise, eventually settling for fourth.

Jason Johnson, who struggled in time trials, Friday night, started on the pole of the dash and finished second, which started him outside the front row for the feature.

Lasoski jumped out to a comfortable lead quickly in the main event, with Johnson giving chase. He had nearly a straightaway lead when he entered lapped traffic, in a 34 lap feature that went green-to-checker without a caution.

As Lasoski seemed to have very little trouble finding his way through lapped traffic, any time Johnson would get close Lasoski would put a lapped car or two between him and second place and run away again.

Brian Brown, who started third, slipped past Johnson in turn two of lap 18 after Johnson slid up the racetrack trying to pass a lapped car.

It was then Brown’s turn to attempt to real in the race leader over the final 16 laps. He was never able to get closer than fiver six car lengths, and Lasoski would eventually win by nearly a half a lap.

In fact, Lasoski lapped all the way up to fifth place, Terry McCarl, in the none-stop event.

Ian Madsen ran fourth, while Johnson held on for third.

MOWA kicks off another double-header weekend, Friday, Sept. 13, at Jacksonville Speedway, and follows that with the annual running of the Tom Knowles Memorial at Spoon River Speedway, Saturday, Sept. 14.
