Tri-City Speedway(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Randy Korte and the Riggs Motorsports team entered a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series tilts in the states of Illinois and Missouri from September 13-14. On Friday night at the tiny Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois, Randy timed in seventh quickest in Group A during qualifying and later grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win ‘Photobilly 50’ from the inside of the fifth row, Randy unfortunately retired from the 50-lapper after only 13 circuits and wound up twenty-second in the final rundown.

At the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening, another $10,000 top prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the ‘Pevely Nationals.’ Randy clicked off the eighth fastest lap in Group B during time trials prior to claiming a fourth place effort in his stacked heat race. The Highland, Illinois standout then completed 33 of the scheduled 55 laps of the ‘Pevely Nationals’ and was relegated to a twentieth place performance. Complete results from both WOOLMS races can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.

Randy and the #81k team will return to Dirt Late Model competition from September 19-21 in a trio of UMP DIRTcar Series battles at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. A $2,000 winner’s check will be on the line tonight, Friday, and Saturday at the St. Louis area facility. Jason Riggs is also scheduled to be in action this weekend, as he is tentatively set to invade the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday for a weekly UMP show.
