Beebe, Arkansas (12/05/13) – As the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) prepares to embark on its eighth season of operation in 2014 big announcements continue to be released. With the latest release the CCSDS is honored to announce that Lucas Oil has come on board as the presenting sponsor of the tour.
“Having Lucas Oil join our tour as the presenting sponsor is really a big deal and opens countless doors for our series as we continue to strive to be one of the top regional sanctions in the country,” comments CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. “To have two incredible companies like COMP Cams and Lucas Oil providing major sponsorship to our tour is quite an honor, and we look forward to professionally representing them in 2014 and beyond.”
Sponsorship from Lucas Oil will provide the CCSDS competitors with the opportunity to not only compete for various contingencies, but also to compete for larger purses at each event throughout the year.
“Racing obviously isn’t cheap, and these great drivers deserve more money, but it’s hard to ask tracks for more, when they are doing the best they can to survive,” says Ellis. “However, with this sponsorship we can implement purse increases without having to stick it all to the track, and that’s something that’s really important to us.”
The CCSDS presented by Lucas Oil warriors will embark on their 2014 season on April 5th and 6th as the tour co-sanctions a pair of events for the first time ever with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). On Friday, April 5th Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) will host a $10,000-to-win show, while Saturday April 6th will see the CCSDS presented by Lucas Oil being a part of an event for the first time ever at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) as another $10,000-to-win slate is held. The two series will come together again on August 15th-16th to co-sanction the 22nd Annual COMP Cams Topless at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas).
