NDRL - National Dirt Racing LeagueBloomington, Indiana (12/18/13) – Kent Robinson recently put the wraps on an up-and-down 2013 season that had more than its fair share of emotions. Now the Bloomington, Indiana driver is looking ahead to the 2014 season, which will see him pursuing the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) campaign.

The 2013 season found Robinson mainly racing on the regional level, where he claimed six wins as he split his time between the Super Late Model and the Open Wheel Modified division.

For 2014 Kent is excited to announce that he will be embarking on a national series for the first time since 2012, when he competed on the World of Outlaws Super Late Model tour.

“With all of the craziness in 2013 we just had to spend a lot of time close to the house, so that I could look after the family business,” noted the 26-year-old Robinson. “However, for 2014 I’m excited to confirm that I will be pursuing the full National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Model schedule, and I’ll be gunning for the rookie of the year title as well as the championship.”

The NDRL schedule currently has approximately 30 races nights on it spanning from February to October. Robinson will begin competition with the tour in his #7r JB’s Salvage/Keyser Manufacturing/Club 29/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model during the month of January with a trip to Arizona and Texas for a total of nine, nonpoint races.

“I’m excited to start the year out in Arizona and Texas at two tracks I’ve never seen before,” comments Robinson. “Hopefully we can use those shows to get a jump on the year, so that when the point events start we can hit the ground running. I like what the NDRL bunch is trying to do, and I’m excited to support it.”

January’s events include six races that will held during the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme, which spans January 11th-19th, at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) before moving to El Paso Speedway Park (El Paso, Texas) January 24th-26th for a trio of events.
