NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader to race in Poplar Bluff Speedway “Boot Heel 200” this Friday and Saturday, March 21st and 22nd

Schrader headshot 2013 #2Atlanta, GA – 3/17/14 – NASCAR veteran driver, TV motorsports commentator and legendary dirt track racer, Ken Schrader from Concord, North Caolina will compete in the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Seeries portion of the 7th annual “Boot Heel 200” at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Friday, March 21st and Saturday March 22nd. Schrader won the K&N Filters USCS Modified season-opener during the 6th Annual “Frostbuster 250” held at Magnolia Motor Speedway on March 1st. Since then, he has won the K&N USCS Outlaw Modified Series portion of the “Tennessee 200” finals for the K&N Filters USCS Modified Series at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tennessee on March 15th. He is the current USCS modified points leader.

Schrader will be behind the wheel of his potent Federated Auto Parts sponsored #9 open wheel modified race car on both nights against some of the best racers in the Mid South all of whom are trying to be first to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane in the second and third races of the season. Schrader has 970 starts in NASCAR’s top three divisions including 763 Sprint Cup and formerly Winston Cup division semi-retired from the Sprint Cup Series at the end of 2013, but will race selected ARCA events and concentrate on his dirt track racing. This will be Schrader’s first visit to Poplar Bluff Speedway.

The K&N Filters USCS Modified Series join the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars and the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series to create a USCS triple-header for the “Boot Heel 200” race weekend. Additionally on the “Boot Heel 200” racing card are the Crate Late Models, Super Street, E-MOD, Pure Street and Mini Stock divisions.
