Ricky Frankel, Michael Long, John Oliver Jr., Bobby Anders Jr., and Austen Bercerra all picked up feature event wins in the Casey’s General Stores Racing Series at Quincy Raceways on Sunday May 4th.

Jason Perry jumped into the early lead of the Kick Start UMP Super Late Model feature event with Mark Burgtorf and Jason Frankel hot on his heels. Perry held off Burgtorf until abruptly slowing going into turn three on the tenth circuit giving Frankel the opportunity to slip past both Perry and Burgtorf for the lead as Perry pulled off the race track. Frankel then held off Burgtorf and Denny Woodworth in a close battle to the checkered flag. Burgtorf settled for the second spot with Woodworth in third, Jim Moon in fourth and Justin Reed in fifth. Frankle set the fast time in qualifying with Perry taking the Fast Six Dash win while Jamie Wilson won the heat race.

Michael Long put on a dominating performance in the Miller Lite UMP Modified feature event as his early challengers Steven DeLonjay and Dave Weitholder and Keith Pratt all retired with mechanical problems during the fourth lap. Long was pursued to the checkered flag by Jared Schlipman in second, Robbie Reed in third, Jake Griffin in fourth and Russ Coultas in fifth. Michael Long scored the fastest qualifying time while David Weitholder too the Fast Six Dash win with Shawn Deering taking the heat race win.

The Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Cars were racing for $500 to Win with John Oliver Jr. taking home the big check. Oliver battled with Jim Lynch the entire twenty five laps but held on to take the win over Lynch in second, Abe Huls in third, Terry Houston in fourth and Jake Powers in fifth. Powers took the win in the heat race.

Bobby Anders Jr. held off a hard charging Tony Dunker to score the feature event win in the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA SportMod main event. Anders grabbed the lead from Tanner Klingele on the seventh lap and kept Dunker at bay over the last few laps to score the feature event win. Dunker settled for second followed by Klingele in third, Brad Holtmeyer in fourth and Trent Grotz in fifth. Holtmeyer and Klingele took the heat race wins.

Austen Bercerra continued his hot streak in the IMCA Sport Compact division as survived the war with Pat Dunker in the feature event. Bercerra and Dunker traded paint over the final laps as both took turns leading but Bercerra managed to take the lead when it counted when the checkered flag fell. Dunker settled for the second spot followed by Bryce Baker in third, Kimberly Abbott in fourth and Darin Weisinger Jr. in fifth. Dunker scored the heat race win.
