show-me-100-2014WAYCROSS, GA (May 21, 2014) – This weekend’s Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 – Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will include a $2,000-to-win, $250-to-start, Non-Qualifiers Race, sponsored by Midwest Sheet Metal. The top-24 drivers that did not transfer into the Show-Me 100 feature event through Heat Races or B-Mains will be eligible for the 20-lap Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge, held just prior to the main event. The winner has the choice to either take the $2,000 race winnings and put it in the trailer, or start last in the 100 lap main event to get a chance at the $30,000.

Mike Marlar, from Winfield, TN captured the win in last year’s Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge. Marlar elected to forfeit his $2,000 winnings to start shotgun on the field in the $30,000 to win Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 feature event. The decision paid off as Marlar charged from his 33rd starting spot in the main event to finish 7th at the finish.

“We’re really proud to be part of the Show-Me Challenge event and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series,” stated Midwest Sheet Metal President Chris Davis. “The LOLMDS and everyone at Lucas Oil Speedway are true professionals and great people to partner with. The Show-Me 100 is such a prestigious race and anything we can do to help the racers with a chance to earn some extra money and get another shot at winning the main event is a great feeling,” stated Chris Davis.
