Lucas Oil Late Model Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing headed to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri from May 22-24 for the 22nd edition of the Lucas Oil ‘Show-Me 100.’ The three-day extravaganza kicked off on Thursday night with the inaugural ‘Cowboy Classic,’ which was sanctioned solely by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in fifth quickest in Group B during the qualifying session and later placed third in his stacked heat race. After starting the $5,045 to win main event from the outside of the eighth row, Dennis wound up finishing the 45-lapper exactly where he started… in the sixteenth position.

Preliminary action for the ‘Show-Me 100’ was then held on Friday evening and Dennis started his night by clicking off the eighteenth fastest lap in Group B during time trials prior to finishing eighth in his loaded heat race. Following another eighth place performance in his B-Main on Saturday, Dennis took use of a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series emergency provisional to gain access into the $30,000 to win crown jewel main event. During the course of the ‘Show-Me 100,’ the Carpentersville, Illinois standout was able to move up thirteen positions on his way to a fourteenth place performance in the extra-distance affair. Dennis still finds himself tenth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the prestigious ‘Show-Me 100.’ Complete results from the action-packed holiday weekend can be found online at www.lucasoilspeedway.com.

The #28 team will follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail to the states of Tennessee and Kentucky on May 30-31 for two more pivotal series point battles. On Friday evening, the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee plays host to the ‘Toyota Knoxville 50,’ while the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky will wrap up the doubleheader weekend on Saturday night with the 28th Annual ‘Ralph Latham Memorial.’ Both shows will feature a complete program with Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and 50-lap main events, which both boast $10,000 top prizes.
