Championship Racing Plus MLS Sprints up Next on Cliff Harris’ Warrensburg Ford Night at CMS!

(Warrensburg, MO) Weekly championship racing continues Saturday, June 7 at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) for Cliff Harris’ Warrensburg Ford night at the races! In addition to USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Modifieds, and Pure Stocks, Midwest Lightning Sprints, sponsored by Liquid and Powdercoat Finishes of Kansas City, return for a second appearance at the track this year.

Last week, USRA National Points Leader Terry Schultz, of Sedalia pulled off a thrilling last-lap move around Gunner Martin to claim his second $1,000-to-win CMS weekly feature victory of the year. Dean Wille captured his third win of the season in the UCM SAE B-Modified. Brett Wood captured his fourth win of the season in the Street Stock main event while Gary Akers finally broke through in the always entertaining Pure Stock division for his first win of the year. MK Billings took the MLS Sprint Car feature last week.

A look at the USRA Modified standings finds Shad Badder leading the way over good friend and recent $3,000 special event winner Jim Moody, now tied with recent winner Schultz in a furious battle atop the standings. Tim Karrick remains in the thick of battle as well.

Dean Wille leads the way in B-Modified action on rung ahead of Curtis Berry in second. Richard Brainard has a narrow lead over Ernie Walker, who sits fourth in the standings this week.

Start times for the weekend include pit gates opening at 4:30 p.m., grandstands at 5, drivers meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30. General admission for adults is $12, Military w/I.D. and Seniors 65+ $10, kids ages six to twelve $5, five years and under free!
