“It was a lot of fun,” said Busch. “We won the race the way Earnhardt would have done it.”
And how Earnhardt would do, refers to the chase, the bump and final pass. And that is what Busch did. For laps Busch was literally inches off Nemecheck’s rear bumper. Numerous times he tried to make a pass but Nemechek was strong out of turns two and four and was able ho hold off Busch each time except the last time.
“Nemechek kept getting tight, I timed it right and got aside of him,” said Busch. “Then it was a drag race to the finish.”
Nemechek was hoping to win his first ARCA CRA Super Series.
“It sucks to lose it when I led so many laps, but if I had to lose it to someone, I guess that’s the guy you want to lose to,” Nemechek said.
In third place was Chad Finley who for the 4th time of the year finished 3rd in an ARCA race.
“We got beat by two NASCAR team today,” said Finley.
