Brandon Sheppard, Michael Long, Brandon Savage, Tony Dunker and Austen Bercerra all took feature event wins on Sunday August 10 at Quincy Raceways during Gardner Denver Employee Night at the Races.

Brandon Sheppard rolled into the lead of the Kick Start UMP Super Late Model Feature event by blasting past Denny Woodworth and Jason Perry on a fifth lap restart and cruised away for a dominating victory in the 30 lapper. Bobby Pierce scored second with Denny Woodworth in third, Clint Kirkham in fourth and Justin Reed in fifth. Pierce and Perry were the heat race winners with Pierce setting quick time in qualifying.

Michael Long made a shambles of the Miller Lite UMP Modified feature event by leading every lap of the twenty five lap main event. Steven DeLonjay made a bid to clatch the fleet Long but was unable to cut into his lead and had to settle for the second spot with Craig Spegal in third, Jarod Schlipman in fourth and Keith Pratt in fifth. Pratt and DeLonjay were the heat race winners with Long leading the qualifying pace.

The Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Car field was down on cars but the action was hot and heavy as four cars diced and sliced for the lead spot throughout the event. Brandon Savage won out followed by Abe Huls in second, Terry Houston in third, Beau Taylor in fourth and Nathan Hayes in fifth.  Savage made it a clean sweep for the night by capturing the heat race win.

Tony Dunker may have won the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMod main event but it wasn’t until a late race restart that Dunker even pulled into contention for the lead. Dunker deftly moved through three competitors in turn one of a lap sixteen restart to challenge Jim Gillenwater for the lead. Gillenwater was unable to hold back Dunker and had to settle for the second spot followed by Tanner Klingele in third, Brad Holtmeyer in fourth and Bobby Anders Jr. in fifth. Klingele and Joey Gower were the heat race winners. Brandon Lennox crossed the finish line in the third spot in the feature event but was disqualified for a non-IMCA approved wheel.

Austen Bercerra took the win in the IMCA Sport Compact feature event, his tenth in thirteen starts at Quincy and his thirty second feature win overall this season.  Brandon Lambert settled for the second spot followed by Sieth Woodruff in third, Kimberly Abbott in fourth and Casey Lambert in fifth. Brandon Lambert and Bercerra were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways on Sunday August 17 will be the first ever 360 Sprint Car Clash. Brockway Mechanical Sprint Invaders vs Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Sprints in a Showdown of the Premier 360 Sprint Car Series in the Mid-West. The Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Cars, Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMods and the IMCA Sport Compacts will be sharing the racing card.
