(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) recorded their thirteenth victory of the 2014 campaign on Saturday evening, August 23 at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri! Billy Moyer won his heat race in preliminary action at the St. Louis-area venue and later started fourth on the grid in the MARS/UMP Challenge feature event. After grabbing the top spot on lap sixteen, Billy cruised the rest of the way in the 40-lapper en route to bagging the $5,000 top prize. “Mr. Smooth” beat Brandon Sheppard, Randy Korte, Bobby Pierce, and Tony Jackson, Jr. to the checkers.
A night earlier, the #21 team made a stop at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky for a similar MARS/UMP Challenge showdown. Billy ran third in his loaded heat race, which locked him into the inside of the fifth row for the start of the ‘USA World 50.’ During the course of the $5,000 to win tilt, the Batesville, Arkansas ace picked off six competitors on his way to a strong third place outing behind only victor Jason Feger and runner-up Tanner English. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer has committed to only one event over the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend. Billy will make a rare visit to Crowley’s Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Arkansas on Friday night, August 29. The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will sanction their first-ever showdown at the racy oval and a $3,000 payday will be on the line tomorrow evening. At the track which normally hosts Limited Late Models, Billy won the last Super Late Model show held at Crowley’s Ridge back in 1989.
