St. Louis Showdown brings top-notch dirt late model action to St. Louis region this weekend!

2014-flyer-STL-SHOOTOUT-5bSt. Louis, MO (September 8th, 2014) A huge weekend for dirt late model racing roars in the St.  Louis region this weekend for the St. Louis Showdown at two of the most exciting tracks in the  country for dirt late model racing.

The action kicks off Friday, September 12th at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and then moves to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday, September 13th. Both shows feature the UMP DIRTcar Late Model Series and each will pay $10,000 to the winner. Some of the best dirt late model drivers from the Midwest and throughout the U.S. will be on hand to fight it out at the St. Louis Showdown!

Tri-City Speedway will also feature the UMP DIRTcar Modified division and UMP DIRTcar B-Modified division with each paying $1,000 to the winner. Pit gates will open at 2pm and grandstand gates open at 5:30pm with hotlaps at 6:30pm. Group qualifying for late models will kick off at 7pm. Racing will immediately follow qualifying. Grandstand admission will be $28 with kids 12 and under free. Pit passes are $35 with kids 12 and under $10.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will also have UMP DIRTcar Modifieds paying $1,000 to win along with UMP/AARA Sportsman paying $400 to win & UMP/AARA Pro 4 Stocks. Pit gates will open at noon and grandstands will open at 5pm with hotlaps at 6:30pm and late model group qualifying at 7pm. Grandstand admission will be $28 with kids 12 and under free. Pit passes are $35 with kids 6-12 years old $15. Kids 5 and under are free in the pits.

UMP DIRTcar Late Model tire rules will be Hoosier L/M 20 or L/M 40 only! UMP DIRTcar Modified & B-Modified tire rules will be Hoosier E-Mod 26.5 or 27.5 “A” or “H” compound only with grooving and siping allowed! UMP/AARA Sportsman & Pro 4 Stock will following Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55’s Fall Sportsman Nationals rules.
