Denny Woodworth, Michael Long, Josh Smith, Joey Gower and Austen Bercerra all took season ending main event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday September 28.

The Kick Start UMP Super Late Models had a very special event on tap with the Invitational “Pick Your Poison” Main event. The event allowed the competitors to choose their starting spot based upon the qualifying times and to race for $500 to win from the from row, $1000 from row two, $1500 from row three and $2000 from row four. Jason Perry set fast time and chose to start inside row four with Mark Burgtorf choosing outside row four, Justin Reed chose outside row three, and Chuck Mitchell inside row three, Denny Woodworth chose inside row two and Jamie Wilson outside row two, Jim Moon started from the pole with Trace Westling outside row one. Moon took off at the drop of the green flag for the twenty lapper with Denny Woodworth hot on his heels. Woodworth took over the top spot on lap three and held off Justin Reed and then Mark Burgtorf for the $1000 payday. Burgtorf settled for the second spot followed by Reed in third, Chuck Mitchell in fourth, Jim Moon in fifth, Trace Westling in sixth, Jason Perry in seventh and Jamie Wilson in eighth.

Michael Long led every lap of the twenty five lap Miller Lite UMP Modified feature event to claim the feature event win. Long pulled away from Steven DeLonjay for the win with Jared Schlipman in third, Frankie Wellman in fourth and Shane Lewis in fifth. Long and DeLonjay were the heat race winners with DeLonjay setting quick time in qualifications.

Josh Smith held off the challenges of Todd Cummings and Abe Huls to claim the Powder Coat Plus Stock Car feature event by leading all eighteen laps. Cummings settled for second with Huls in third, Terry Houston in fourth and Jerry Jansen in fifth. Cummings took the heat race win.

Joey Gower took the lead on the third lap and powered away from the field to claim the Summy Tire and Auto Center SportMod main event. Tanner Klingele scored second followed by Brad Holtmeyer in third, Nathan Bringer in fourth and Jase Gay in fifth. Gower and Brandon Lennox were the heat race winners.

Austen Bercerra took another feature event win in the Sport Compact main event but he was heavily pressed by Kimberly Abbott as he took the win by mere inches ahead of Abbott. Ricky Carriker scored third followed by Thomas Angelo in fourth and John Jackson in fifth. Abbot took the heat race win.
