Logo_National100(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team made the trip south to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 24-25 for the 20th edition of the Coors Light ‘Fall Classic.’ The unsanctioned mega-event drew a 48 car field to the 3/8-mile oval to vie for the $15,000 payday. Dennis qualified well on Friday night and later ran second in heat race action to secure the ninth starting spot in Saturday’s headliner.

During the course of the 100-lap grind, Dennis was able to move up three spots to notch a strong sixth place performance. The Carpentersville, Illinois star trailed only winner Randy Weaver, Chris Simpson, Bub McCool, Mike Marlar, and Billy Moyer at the checkers. Complete results from the ‘Fall Classic’ weekend at Whynot can be obtained by clicking on www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team will now turn their attention to another high-profile race in the Southeast on November 1-2 at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The 40th Annual ‘National 100’ will be held at EAMS this coming weekend and a $20,000 top prize will be on the line in the Super Late Model division. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled to take place on Saturday evening, while the consolation events and the 100-lap main event are slated for Sunday night. With $5,000 of lap money up for grabs as well, the winner of the ‘National 100′ could walk away with a cool $25,000.
