Bloomquist, by virtue of his win in the season finale, the Optima Batteries Dirt Track World Championship – Presented by NAPA, passed Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN in the final crown jewel cup point standings to earn a $10,000 cash award at the series awards banquet on December 11th. O’Neal finished a close second, only 15 points behind Bloomquist while Jimmy Owens finished third in the final crown jewel cup point standings.
