bonus_series_logo_featured(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook Racing invaded the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from November 6-8 for the 8th Annual ‘World of Outlaws World Finals.’ The final two events of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series campaign paid $12,000 to the winner and drew a stellar field of 77 competitors to the 4/10-mile speedplant. With new sponsor Motion Sensors, Inc. on board for the weekend, Ray Cook started on Thursday night by posting the twenty-fifth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying for Friday’s program and the twenty-second quickest time for Saturday’s showdown.

In front of a standing-room-only crowd in Charlotte, Ray finished seventh in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main on Friday night, while he wound up seventh in his heat race and eighth in his B-Main on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, those efforts were not able to put the Brasstown, North Carolina ace into the 50-lap headliners, which were won by Darrell Lanigan and Jimmy Owens respectively. Complete results from the extended weekend in the Charlotte area can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.

The #53 team will look to get back on track this upcoming weekend (November 14-15) at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The 3rd edition of the ‘Deep Fried 75’ is a Southern Nationals Bonus Race and will pay $11,000 to the victor. Qualifying and heat races are slated for Friday evening at the Volunteer State facility, while the B-Mains and the 75-lap main event are scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Ray is a threat each time he rolls through the pit gate at Duck River and he finished third in last year’s version of the ‘Deep Fried 75’ behind only winner Josh Putnam and runner-up Dennis Erb, Jr. Additional information concerning the big weekend at DRRP can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.southernnationalsseries.com.
