Freddy Smith to Serve as Wild West Shootout Grand Marshal

wws400Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Freddy Smith of Seymour, Tennessee has been named as the Grand Marshal of the 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout at the USA Raceway in Tucson…, Arizona on January 9-18, 2015.

Smith, who was inducted into the dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2001, is one of the winningest drivers in dirt Late Model history with over 750 career victories and has just recently retired from driving his familiar #00 after the 2013 racing season.

Smith, better known as the Southern Gentleman for his smile, class and charming demeanor, is a five time winner of the Dirt Track World Championship, a two time winner of the Dirt Late Model Dream and also won the Hav-A-Tampa Dirt Racing Series championship in 1996 during his hall of fame career.

Freddy will bring the field to green by waving the green flag over the Late Model field on the opening night of the Wild West Shootout on Saturday, January 10th; he will pace the feature field in the pace truck, will participate in live fan and DirtOnDirt.com interviews throughout the week and will present the overall Wild West Shootout point champion with his trophy at week’s end.
