Summit Racing Equipment Back as Title Sponsor for the American Modified Series in 2015

American-Modified-SeriesGlasgow, KY-January 10, 2015- Representatives with Summit Racing Equipment and the American Modified Series are pleased to announce that Summit Racing Equipment will return as the official series title sponsor for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in 2015 after a successful partnership with the tour during the 2014 racing season that saw the series enjoy its best season to date.

Series officials are also excited that Summit Racing Equipment will return in 2015 as the official series title sponsor.  “Everyone associated with our series is very appreciative to have the great folks at Summit Racing Equipment back on board as a marketing partner with us again in 2015”, stated series president Jeff Crawford.  “The continued involvement of Summit Racing Equipment with the AMS (American Modified Series) tour affords us the opportunity to present the best UMP DIRTcar Modified competition at a number of great racing venues.  The 2015 season will be our sixth season of competition and we are sincerely thankful for Summit Racing Equipment being involved with the series”, added Crawford.

When the final checkered flag for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series waves at the 6th Annual Season Championship event at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Saturday October 24, the series races will pay out over $250,000 in nightly track purses and championship points standings monies, making the tour a one-quarter of a million dollar venture for competitors in 2015.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is also pleased to announce it will continue its working relationship with the UMP DIRTcar Modified organization, as the UMP DirtCar organization will have its officials at all events to handle technical inspection of the race cars.  Drivers can also earn points toward the UMP DIRTcar Modified national title, along with earning points toward the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series championship title as well.

With the tour set to begin its sixth season of presenting exciting UMP DirtCar Modified racing competition, series officials would like to also announce the 2015 series points fund for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series.  The series points champion will take home $5,000 for their efforts at the conclusion of the 2015 season, with the total series points fund in excess of $20,000.  The top ten in 2015 series points will receive the following payout:  1st- $5,000, 2nd- $3,000, 3rd- $2,500, 4th- $2,000, 5th- $1,500, 6th- $1,400, 7th- $1,300, 8th- $1,200, 9th- $1,100, 10th- $1,000.  For a driver to earn his/her full payout for their finishing position in final 2015 series points, the driver must be a member in good standing with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series and must have attended at least 80% of the series points events.

Officials with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series are also pleased to announce some additional dates to the 2015 season schedule that fill in some to be announced dates that were previously listed.  On Saturday April 25, the tour will make its first-ever visit to Chandler Motor Speedway in Chandler, IN for a $1,500 to win event.  Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN will now have a second event on the tour in 2015 as they will host a $1,500 to win event on Saturday July 18, with a to be announced date set for the day before on Friday July 17.  Lastly, the tour will visit Route 45 Raceway in Flora, IL on Friday September 25 for an event that will pay $3,021 to win.
