(Warrensburg, MO) Central Missouri Speedway owners Earl and Susan Walls are poised to begin their twentieth season of racing at CMS when racing begins in early April. One year after a successful re-launch, the 2015 season begins on Saturday, April 4 with five weekly racing divisions.

Prior to the first green flag of the year, CMS has scheduled two pre-season appearances. The first such appearance takes place at the annual Bodee’s Racers Auction and Tradeshow on Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25 at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fair Grounds.

Doors open each day at 8 a.m. with the auction underway by 9. Drivers and fans may stop by the CMS vendor row booth and pick up schedules, car class and general track rules, complete care registration for the coming season and converse with CMS staff members on both days.

One week after the tradeshow, CMS hosts its annual Registration Meeting on Saturday, January 31 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the ABC Building on the grounds of Grover Park in Warrensburg, Missouri. The ABC Building is located east of the King’s Chef Restaurant on North Street from Hwy 13 (Maguire Street). Attendees will find the parking lot near the tennis courts off of North Street.

CMS has 26 nights of racing planned from early April through Labor Day weekend for 2015. Weekly racing divisions include USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and the newly added Lightning Sprints. The highlight of the season will once again be the annual Tom Wilson Memorial BBQ Bowl featuring a $5,000-to-win USRA Modified 50-lap main event.

Known as ‘Mighty’ Modifieds at CMS, participating USRA Modified drivers will have five opportunities throughout the season to compete for increased purses. All weekly race divisions will have a special event at various points throughout the season, including Pure Stocks, now heading into their second season at CMS.

Guest classes in 2015 include six nights of competition for ULMA Late Models and three scheduled appearances for the Allstar Midget Series on various dates throughout the season.

The registration fee for the weekly championship classes, which includes Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks, is $50 if paid prior to February 1, 2014. After the deadline and for the remainder of the year the fee is $60. Track registration fees do not apply to guest classes. CMS will celebrate its weekly drivers with its own end-of-season championship banquet in the fall with a date and location to be announced.

For weekly racing, pit gates open at 4:30, grandstands at 5, driver’s meeting at 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30. Weekly admissions for 2015 include Pit Passes $30, Adult Admissions $12, Seniors 65 or Older & Military or Students w/ID $10, and Kids Ages Six to Twelve $5. For special event weekends, start times and admissions will change.

Car class rules, the revised general race rules, payouts, updated schedule of events, and driver registration forms are just a few of the documents drivers and fans can find available on the CMS website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net

CMS is located 3.5-miles north of Warrensburg, MO from the junction of Highways 50 and 13 in Warrensburg just north of the new by-pass round-a-bout or from the Higginsville exit from I-70, south on Highway 13 for twelve and half miles. During race season, the track phone is 660-747-2166.
