Peoria Speedway released its’ 2015 racing schedule last weekend at the Allen Automotive Trade Show, with the big announcement being the 1st Annual “Fall Classic” on September 18 & 19.
The “Fall Classic”will pay $10,050 to win for UMP Modifieds and is the largest payout in track history. UMP Late Models will be racing for $2,000 to-win each night, with enhanced purses for Steel Block Late Models, Hornets and E-Modifieds. On Friday the 18th, UMP Modifieds will have time trials, heat races and a dash on Friday with last chance races and the feature on Saturday night. All other classes will have complete shows each night. On Friday night, there will be overnight camping, a live band, a bonfire/cookout, and the beer tent will be open until 1:00 AM.
The Farmington Road oval begins the season with two practice sessions on March 21 and 28 from 1-4 PM, with the Norwood Pub and Grub Season Opener on April 4. The Don Bohlander Tribute will be on April 11 and pay $5,000 to-win for the UMP Late Models. The next special at the track is the Gary Cook Jr. Memorial, paying $2,064 for UMP Modifieds on April 25.
Other special events at the track are: AMA motorcycles May 22; Memorial Day Special May 25; UMP Summernationals June 23; Firecracker 40 for UMP Late Models on July 3; Special race TBA July 22; Monster Trucks on July 25; Peoria Old Timers Day September 13; Season Championships September 26 and the Hamilton Memorial for UMP Late Models on October 3. The season will end on October 11.
