Moyer2(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) once again started their racing season out west in the ‘Wild West Shootout’ at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona. The 9th edition of the six-race miniseries was held in the desert from January 10-18. Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer was able to kick off his ’15 campaign with a pair of runner-up efforts and two additional Top Ten performances.

Both of Billy’s second place finishes came in $3,000 to win, unsanctioned showdowns. In the opener on Saturday, January 10, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar raced past nine competitors in the 30-lap headliner to finish behind only victor Darrell Lanigan. It was a similar story on Friday, January 16, as Billy won his heat race prior to blasting past eight cars en route to another runner-up feature showing behind Lanigan. The popular driver known as “Mr. Smooth” then finished out the ‘Wild West Shootout’ with a sixth place outing in the penultimate event on Saturday and a seventh place effort in Sunday’s finale, which boasted a $10,000 payday.
