Inside Line Promotions – HANOVER, Pa. (Feb. 3, 2015) – Shark Racing has a new focus in 2015: eliminate DNFs.

Drivers Jacob Allen and Logan Schuchart have been hard at work since the 2014 season ended preparing for the grueling 2015 slate with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, which begins Feb. 13-15 at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., for the DIRTcar Nationals.

“We’re a lot more prepared this year with the cars and motors,” Schuchart said. “The goal is just to be consistent. It’s something that we lack in. We fall out of races more than we should. Obviously you want to win races, but you have to start out somewhere and I think the consistency will help the whole team better.”

The team has spent a considerable amount of time on the trailer, particularly since returning from five races in Arizona in early January.

“We’re making sure we have all of our spare parts and the trailer is organized and the cars are ready,” Allen said. “A lot of time and work has been put in since Yuma.”

The Shark Racing drivers are also banking on the laps spent competing in Arizona paying off when they race on the fastest half-mile oval next week.

“I think it definitely helps that you can get some races in over the winter so you’re not so rusty,” Schuchart said. “Volusia is definitely a fast track.”

Prior to the three World of Outlaws races at the high-speed track, two All Star Circuit of Champions races open the DIRTcar Nationals.

“Volusia is one of the fastest tracks we’ll go to,” Allen said. “I think it’ll be cool to start the year on a big, fast track. That will help you out for when you go to Eldora or any other big tracks. I’m going to go out there and give it the best I can. The goal for me is to make sure that DNFs don’t happen and to make the shows. Getting those laps under your belt with those guys in the A Main is important.”
