TAMPA, FL……2/6/15… Tim Dohm from Crosslanes, WV set quick time tonight with a 15.76 with thirty four cars in attendance tonight. Jack Nosbisch, Jr., Josh Peacock, Bryan Bernhardt and Matt Henderson rounded out the top five in times.

Four heat races were run with the top 4 advancing to tonight’s 35-lap feature event. Winning their heats were Max Blair, Phillip Cobb, Keith Nosbisch and Doug Horton.

B-Mains were run taking the top 4 also and winning those were Jack Nosbisch, Jr. and Hudson Oneal.

For the 35-lap feature it was Dover’s Phillip Cobb and last night’s feature winner Josh Peacock on the front row.

When the green flag waved it was Cobb taking the lead on lap one and on a restart Max Blair took over the lead on the very next lap.

Several cautions came throughout the race but the final restart with just four laps to go, Blair had Doug Horton on his back bumper and doing everything he could to get past Blair.

When the checkered waved it was Blair crossing the finish line first in his first trip to East Bay Raceway Park. “I’ve been coming here since a little kid to watch my dad race” Blair stated in Victory Lane. It was very nerve racking being on the defense instead of offense with Doug Horton right behind me Blair also said in his interview. He thanked his Dad, R&J Poultry and Keystone.

Rounding out the top five were Doug Horton, Dave Schmauss, Shan Smith and Jack Nosbisch, Jr.

Top six locked in tomorrow’s 50-lap A-Main by points accumulated over the past two nights are Dave Schmauss, Jack Nosbisch, Jr., Josh Peacock, Shan Smith, Max Blair and Mavrick Varnadore.

Also tonight Street Stocks would run the heat races and qualify for tomorrow’s 50-lap feature. Winning their heats were two time Street Stock Winternationals Champion “Rocketman” Richie Stephens, Tim Gay and Justan Rodgers. Quick time was set by Richie Stephens with an 18.11.

Action continues tomorrow night with the 50-Lap Crate Late Model Feature, Team USA Mod Lites and the 5th Annual World Street Stock Championship 50-Lap Feature. For more information, visit eastbayracewaypark.com or call 813-677-7223.
