Moyer2(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) “Mr. Smooth” Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team flexed their muscle throughout “Speedweeks 2015” in Georgia and Florida, as the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer accumulated a trio of high-profile victories and a total of eight Top Five performances! From February 5-21, Billy entered a total of fourteen events at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia, East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. All three of Billy’s victories during “Speedweeks” came during the 39th Annual ‘Winternationals’ at East Bay and his career win total during the February meet at the “Clay by the Bay” now sits at an astounding twenty-six.

In a three-day stretch from February 12-14, Billy racked up $22,000 in winning purses in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition at the Tampa-area venue. On Thursday night, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar took the lead for good on lap six of the feature and drove away from the talented field to bag the $7,000 payday over Mike Benedum, Brandon Sheppard, Steve Casebolt, and Dennis Franklin. At East Bay on Friday evening in a rain-postponed race, Billy led from flag-to-flag in the 25-lapper to secure the $5,000 top prize over Brandon Sheppard, Billy Moyer, Jr., Gregg Satterlee, and Devin Moran. Billy’s 26th career ‘Winternationals’ triumph came in Saturday’s finale, as he beat Don O’Neal, Jonathan Davenport, Jimmy Owens, and Jared Landers to the checkers in a 50-lap affair to record the $10,000 winner’s check in front of the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios!

In addition to his spectacular winning efforts, Billy also racked up a third and a fifth place finish in the first two races of the 39th edition of the ‘Winternationals’ at East Bay Raceway Park. He also added third and fourth place outings during the ‘Winter Freeze’ at Screven (GA) Motor Speedway, as well as a fifth place showing in the penultimate event of the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ at Volusia (FL) Speedway Park. Billy is currently in Des Moines, Iowa attending the Karl Performance Open House and has announced his intentions of taking a couple of weeks off from racing action. His next two scheduled shows will be $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series tussles on March 20-21 at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky and I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Billy is the defending race winner at I-30 and also picked up a feature win at the newly-reopened KLMS facility last year.
