Justin Reed, Michael Long, Jim Lynch, Tanner Klingele and Kimberly Abbott all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways as the 41st Racing Season Commenced on Sunday April 15.

Denny Woodworth jumped into the lead of the twenty five lap feature event for the KirkStart UMP Super Late Model feature event and held on through the first five laps. A lap five caution gave Justin Reed the opportunity he needed as he blasted into the lead and held off all challenges on his way to his first feature win of the season. Mark Burgtorf settled for second followed by Woodworth in third, Dustin Griffin in fourth and Brian Diveley in fifth. Woodworth and Griffin were the heat race winners.

Michael Long started the twenty five lap Miller Lite UMP Modified main event on the inside of the row and pulled into the lead on the third lap. Long then held back Kenny Wallace the rest of the way to claim his second win of the weekend. Wallace settled for second followed by Rick Conoyer in third, Dave Wietholder in fourth and Shawn Deering in fifth. Wallace and TD Burger were the heat race winners.

Jumping Jimmy Lynch started for the pole position of the Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Car main event and led the entire way to claim his feature event win. Abe Huls salvaged the second spot followed by Beau Taylor in third, Jerry Jansen in fourth and Trevor Haggenbaumer in  fifth. Lynch made it a clean sweep as he also won his heat race. Lynch celebrated his night by giving his helmet to a young Jr. Speedster fan.

Second year driver Nathan Bringer led the first eleven laps of the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA SportMod main event but when he slid high off turn three on the twelved lap, Brandon Lennox laid claim to the top spot. Lennox and Tanner Klingele battle the rest of the way to the checkered flag with Lennox taking the flag by .011 of a second. Lennox victory celebration was cut short as he was found to have a Panhard Bar irregularity giving the win to Klingele. Tony Dunker claimed the second spot followed by Adam Birck in third, Brandon Dale in fourth and Joey Gower in fifth. Gower and Dale were the heat race winners.

Kimberly Abbot took the lead of the IMCA Sport Compact main event on the second lap and held back the field to take her first win of the season at Quincy. Trent Orwig scored the second spot with  Sieth Woodruff in third, Barry Taft in fourth and Brandon Lambert in fifth. Woodruff and Abbott were the heat race winners.
