Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at KY Lake Motor Speedway May 15, 16 for Bluegrass Nationals

Glasgow, KY-May 10, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will continute a busy month of May on Friday May 15 and Saturday May 16 at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, KY as the tour will sanction the Bluegrass Nationals, with the Friday May 15 event now paying $3,000 to win and the Saturday May 16 event now paying $5,000 to win.  This will be the tour’s second and third visit of 2015 to the beautiful Calvert City, KY facility, with Brian Shaw having won in the series earlier visit this season.

Also of note for this weekend’s events, if the same driver wins both nights of the Bluegrass Nationals weekend events, that driver will earn a $1,000 bonus, making it possible for one driver to win $9,000 for their efforts if one driver can sweep the weekend.  The A-Main for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will start 26 cars each night.  If there are more than 50 entries at these events, KY Lake Motor Speedway will have a non-qualifiers at each of these events, allowing for more racers to drive away with some money in their pocket.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway for the opening night of the Bluegrass Nationals on Friday May 15 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 25 lap, $3,000 to win/$225 to start Bluegrass Nationals A-Main.  Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Friday May 15 will be the MARS DirtCar Super Late Models racing for $2,000 to win, Pro Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, Stock Cars racing for $600 to win, and Pure Stocks racing for $450 to win.  The series entry fee is $50.

Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series May 15 Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway Bluegrass Nationals A-Main Payout:  1st- $3,000, 2nd- $1,500, 3rd- $750, 4th- $600, 5th- $550, 6th- $500, 7th- $450, 8th- $400, 9th- $350, 10th- $325, 11th- $300, 12th- $275, 13th- $260, 14th- $240, 15th- $225, 16th- $225, 17th- $225, 18th- $225, 19th- $225, 20th- $225, 21st- $225, 22nd- $225, 23rd- $225, 24th- $225, 25th- $225, 26th- $225.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will conclude the weekend on Saturday May 16 with the final night of the Bluegrass Nationals and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 35 lap, $5,000 to win/$250 to start Bluegrass Nationals A-Main.  Other divisions in action with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series on Saturday May 16 will be the MARS DirtCar Super Late Models racing for $4,000 to win, Pro Late Models racing for $3,000 to win, Stock Cars racing for $800 to win, and Pure Stocks racing for $650 to win.  The series entry fee is $50.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Friday May 15 will see the pit area open at Noon and the general admission area open 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 4:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing.  All times listed are Central Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Friday May 15 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35 for non-drivers and $50 for the car and driver.  KLMS also utilizes transponder style scoring and driver will be required to have a transponder and the transponder fee will be $20.
