Mark Burgtorf, Michael Long, Michael Larsen, Tanner Klingele and Michael Grossman all picked up feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday May 15 during the Scottie Memorial Night at the Races by the Bank of Quincy. The annual event is in memory of Albert Scott the founder and builder of Quincy Raceways.

Daryn Klein looked to be the man to beat in the 41 Lap main event for the Kick Start UMP Super Late Model division as he set fast time during qualifying and by winning the first heat race. Klein then jumped out to the early lead and held off the multi time track champions Mark Burgtorf for the first thirty four laps. Klein kept Burgtorf at bay until slipping high in turn three and four on lap 35 giving Burgtorf the opportunity he needed to take over the top spot. Klein rallied back to challenge for the lead over the final laps but had to settle for the second spot. Burgtorf picked up Two Thousand Dollar win with Klein in second, Brian Diveley in third, Jim Moon in fourth and Jamie Wilson in fifth. Klein, Clint Kirkham and Diveley were the heat race winners.

Michael Long continued his dominance in the Miller Lite UMP Modified division by setting fast time, claiming his heat win and taking the feature event win in convincing fashion. David Wietholder scored second followed by Steven DeLonjay in third, Robbie Reed in fourth and Brandon Roberts in fifth. Roberts claimed the second heat race win.

Michael Larsen drove the race of his life in the Powder Coat Plus IMCA Stock Car Main Event as he held off the field for the entire feature event. Larsen managed to hold back Abe Huls furious charges over the final laps to take his first feature win in several years after stepping back into the #48 Stock Car. Huls had to settle for second followed by Beau Taylor in third, Jeremy Buss in fourth and Jim Lynch in fifth. Huls and Taylor were the heat race wins.

Adam Birck took the early lead in the Summy Tire and SportMod main event and held off the field for the first six laps with Tanner Klingele challenging him at every opportunity. Klingele took over on the seventh lap but Birck got the lead back on lap fourteen holding on for one more lap until Klingele got back into the lead for good to take the win. Birck held on for second followed by Brandon Bringer in third, Joey Gower in fourth and Tony Dunker in fifth. Todd Reed and Gower were the heat race winners.

Michael Grossman stopped Kimberley Abbott win streak at three in the IMCA Sport Compact division. Grossman took the lead from Brandon Lambert on the sixth lap and never looked back to take the feature event win over Abbott in second, Lambert in third, Jeffery DeLonjay in fourth and Trent Orwig in fifth. Grossman and Brandon Ruffcorn were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways on Memorial Sunday, May 24th, the MOWA 410 Outlaw Sprint cars will make their first appearance of the season to highlight the holiday weekend event.
