(Warrensburg, MO) Continuing a long-standing tradition dating back to 1998, Central Missouri Speedway is poised to host fans and drivers for a huge Memorial Day weekend of special events racing in multiple car classes on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 featuring over $40,000 in race payouts!

The last few weeks of wet weather has certainly worn on the patience of the dirt-racing fraternity who are now chomping at the bit for CMS to return to action. Drivers and fans alike will not be disappointed in what awaits them at CMS this weekend.

Highlighting the weekend is a pair of back-to-back $1,500-to-Win USRA Modified feature events that will surely attract some of the best Modified aces on the USRA points-chasing circuit. Both main events pay no less than $175 to start and have some of the best pay-downs offered in the entire Midwest over the weekend.

Lightning Sprints also have a big-money event Saturday as they are set to compete for $1,500-to-win and $100-to-start in a 25-lap main event. Pure Stocks are the other featured class of the weekend and will compete in their special event on Sunday evening with $500 on the line to the winner.

The race lineup for Saturday, May 23rd features USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Mods, and Lightning Sprints. For Sunday, May 24th, the race program consists of USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, Pure Stocks, ULMA Late Models, and the Allstar Midget Series. Sunday’s ULMA appearance is the second of the season for ULMA while this weekend’s Allstar Midget Series is their first appearance of the year at the track.

On race day, CMS may be reached via the Track Report Line at 660-747-2166. Complete details regarding the entire Memorial Day weekend at CMS may be found on the track’s website under the “Memorial Day Weekend Headquarters” tab at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.

Grandstand admission prices for each race night over the weekend: $15 for Adults, $12 for Military w/I.D. and Senior Citizens 65 years or older, $5 for kids aged six to twelve years, while children five and under are free. All pit passes for the weekend are $35 per night.
