Moyer2(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) When the whopping eighty car Super Late Model field assembled in the pit area for the 23rd edition of the Lucas Oil ‘Show-Me 100,’ which was held May 21-23 at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, three-time race winner Billy Moyer unloaded his brand-new Moyer Victory Chassis for the very first time. Billy promptly clicked off the fastest lap in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying on Friday night at the 3/8-mile speedplant prior to scoring a dominating heat race win over Chris Brown, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Ryan Gustin. The Batesville, Arkansas superstar was then slated to start Saturday’s ‘Show-Me 100’ from the outside of the third row, but the $30,000 to win crown jewel event was postponed due to inclement weather until Sunday, July 12.
Billy backed up his impressive ‘Show-Me 100’ prelim results by picking up a pair of wins in dashes to conclude Friday night’s action at Lucas Oil Speedway. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, representing Victory Chassis, picked up the $1,000 payday for winning the Manufacturer’s Dash over Devin Moran, Scott Bloomquist, Shannon Babb, and Jesse Stovall. In the Race of Champions, which was comprised of past ‘Show-Me 100,’ Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, and Lucas Oil MLRA Series champions, Billy bested Wendell Wallace, Shannon Babb, Don O’Neal, and Tony Jackson, Jr. to pocket another $1,000 top prize. Complete results from the weekend at Wheatland can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasoilspeedway.com.
“We were all pleased with how the new Moyer Victory Chassis performed right out of the box at Wheatland,” commented Moyer recently. “This has been a goal of mine for a decade now – to design and develop a new chassis that incorporated everything from my nearly forty years of racing. I have learned a great deal through the years from a variety of people in this sport and I can’t thank all of them enough. With our recent partnership with my uncle Carl (Moyer) and Karl Performance, we have the resources and the facility in place to produce these Moyer Victory Chassis the right way. I am looking forward to getting to Eldora this week, tuning on our new car throughout the weekend, and hopefully be in position to win our third Dirt Late Model Dream title on Saturday night!”
The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team has made the trek to the Buckeye State for the 21st Annual ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ presented by Ferris Commercial Mowers. The hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will play host to the three-day crown jewel extravaganza from June 4-6. The ‘Dirt Late Model Dream,’ which will be sanctioned by the UMP DIRTcar Series, is the richest Dirt Late Model race in the world with a whopping $100,000 going to the winner of Saturday night’s 100-lap feature event.
A total purse of $306,625 is available for the three nights of racing, which will kick off with Twin 25 main events on both Thursday and Friday. Billy is a two-time victor of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ (1998 & 2010) and placed fifth in last year’s version of the historic race behind only winner Dale McDowell, John Blankenship, Scott Bloomquist, and Jimmy Owens. Additional information on the “Big E” can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.eldoraspeedway.com.
Moyer Victory Chassis can be purchased directly through Billy Moyer and Billy Moyer Racing. With several client cars already in production, you can order your new car by calling the race shop at 870-251-2151. Billy is set to make customer service and satisfaction his number one priority and these cars can be sold in any stage of completion, including turnkey. The only six-time ‘World 100’ winner wants to be as hands-on as possible in the production and setup of your new Moyer Victory Chassis, enabling you the ultimate chance of success at the racetrack!
BMR would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: Henderson Motorsports, Garnant Family Farms, Bad Boy Mowers, McKee Auto/RV, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Car City, Clements Racing Engines, Karl Performance, Jack’s CARQUEST, New Vision Graphics, Watters Autoland, Moyer Victory Chassis, Allstar Performance, AMSOIL, Arizona Sports Shirts, Bell Helmets, Bert Transmission, Beyea Headers, BSB Manufacturing, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, C&R Racing, Champ Pans, Deatherage Opticians, Delph Communications, Eibach Springs, FK Rod Ends, Fuel Safe Racing Cells, Hawk Brakes, Hoosier Racing Tire, Intercomp, ISC Racers Tape, JRI Shocks, Kluhsman Racing Components, Midwest Sheet Metal, MSD Ignition, Ohlins Shocks, Performance Bodies, Performance Rod & Custom, Peterson Fluid Systems, Rockhard Powder Coating, Stealth Carburetion, Sunoco Race Fuels, Sweet Mfg., TWM Manufacturing, and Wiles Racing Driveshafts.
