Lucas-Oil-Late-Model-Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. scored his biggest win of the 2015 racing season to date on Friday evening, July 10 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! Dennis timed in second fastest in his group during UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals qualifying and later placed second in his heat race. After starting the 50-lap main event from the inside of the third row, Dennis was able to work his way past leader Jason Feger to grab the point on lap 39. The Carpentersville, Illinois star then led the remainder of the distance to pick up his fourth win of 2015 and the $10,000 windfall over Feger, Brandon Sheppard, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Mason Zeigler!

On July 11-12, the #28 team ventured west with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to compete in two marquee events at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. In Saturday’s annual running of the ‘CMH Diamond Nationals,’ Dennis finished third in his heat race prior to claiming an eleventh place effort in the $10,000 to win feature event.

At Wheatland on Sunday in the conclusion of the rain-postponed ‘Show-Me 100,’ Dennis started tenth on the grid in the 100-lap crown jewel main event by virtue of running second in heat race action back in May. At the end of the $30,000 to win show, Dennis was in the seventh position – despite suffering a broken power steering line – and still sits seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings exiting Wheatland. Full results from all of these races can be accessed online at www.thehelltour.com and www.lucasdirt.com.

“Our weekend started off really well at Farmer City with a nice UMP Summer Nationals win,” quoted Erb earlier this week. “We hadn’t won there in a while, so it was nice to visit victory lane at Farmer City again. Then at Wheatland, we had a decent night on Saturday, but I think our ‘Show-Me 100’ was going to be really good on Sunday. Unfortunately, a broken power steering line had me just holding on there as the race wore on and we wound up finishing seventh. I have to thank all of our sponsors for all of their continued support and we will work hard to try and have another good weekend out at I-80 Speedway!”

Dennis Erb Racing will now follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 17-18 for the 5th Annual ‘Silver Dollar Nationals.’ The largest auto racing event in the state of Nebraska will be co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series and will pay a whopping $32,000 to the winner. Two rounds of heat races with passing points on Friday night will determine the line-up for Saturday’s events, which includes consolation races, a Non-Qualifiers event dubbed the Belt Bash, and the 80-lap ‘Silver Dollar Nationals.’ Additional information can be located by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
