ROSSBURG, Ohio (July 21, 2015) – Jeep Van Wormer got by Duane Chamberlain early in the 25-lap feature and went on to win the Sunoco American Late Model Series race during the Tuesday Night Tailgate at Eldora Speedway.

Van Wormer, an Eldora fan favorite, went under Chamberlain‘s car on a restart with nine laps complete and then held him off on a late restart to claim the victory.

“We’ve come here to practice a little bit because the World (100) is coming up and that’s really what we want to win,” Van Wormer said. “I’d like to thank all the fans that came out tonight. Support your local dirt track. Thanks again.”

Following Van Wormer and Chamberlain under the checkered flag were Josh Rice, Matt Westfall and James Rice.

The Tuesday Night Tailgate leads into Wednesday’s 1-800-Car-Cash Mud Summer Classic NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway.

Ty Dillon, who is entered in the Truck Series event, participated in the Late Model race, finishing 13th.

The 150-lap NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is contested in 60-50-40 lap segments. As is dirt-track tradition, the starting field is set by five qualifying heat races.

Tickets can be purchased at www.eldoraspeedway.com or by phone at (937) 338-3815.
