powri-nationalMillstadt, IL – The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series will head to the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th for the Ironman 55. Running in conjunction with the World of Outlaw’s Sprint Car Series, this will be POWRi’s first appearance at the high-banked 1/3rd mile track since 2008. On Saturday, the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will be added to the docket, as fans will be able to get a nice mix of both open wheel and stock car racing.

Heading into the Ironman 55 weekend, Darren Hagen holds the lead in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series point standings over Carl Junction, Missouri’s Andrew Felker. Taking both nights of the Missouri Mid State Midget Nationals, and most recently the Race Around the Arch weekend, Hagen holds a comfortable margin over Felker. Felker capitalized in the POWRi Freedom Fest Weekend at Macon Speedway on July 3rd and 4th, dominating both nights. Austin Brown currently sits in third. Kyle Schuett holds fourth as the leading candidate for the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series Rookie of the Year, while Spencer Bayston rides in fifth after claiming the Midwest season opener and his first-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series victory at Belle-Clair Speedway on April 10th.

In POWRi West competition, Ty Hulsey holds a slim 60 point lead over Anton Hernandez. Hulsey has one win this season, coming recently at Port City Raceway on July 25th. Hernandez took his first win of the 2015 season at Lawton Speedway on July 11th. Eric Fenton sits in third place, while Matt Sherrell holds fourth. Sherrell won the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series event at Outlaw Motorsports Park on August 11th. Michelle Decker rounds out the top five heading into the Ironman 55 Weekend.

Pit passes will be $45.00. For POWRi National and West midget teams, the first four pit passes will be $30.00 each (one for driver, three for additional crew members).
