Moyer2(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) enjoyed their ninth trip to victory lane in 2015 on Friday evening, August 28 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois! Billy Moyer won his heat race in MARS DIRTcar Series competition and later started the headliner from the pole position. Billy then led all but four laps during the feature en route to pocketing the $5,000 winner’s check ahead of Chris Simpson, Jason Feger, Ryan Gustin, and Brian Shirley!

The tripleheader weekend with the MARS gang kicked off on Thursday night, August 27 at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky. Billy ran second in his heat race, but led laps 11-42 of the ‘USA World 50’ before a flat tire cost him a probable $5,000 victory and relegated him to a seventh place performance. In Saturday’s weekend finale at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer won his heat race prior to knocking down a strong runner-up effort in the $5,000 to win main event behind only winner Ryan Gustin. Complete results from the MARS DIRTcar Series triple shot can be viewed online at www.marsracingseries.com.

“I felt like I could run anywhere on the track last week at Granite City and it was good to pick up another win at that place,” commented the popular driver known as “Mr. Smooth.” “Our Moyer Victory Chassis hotrod has been pretty good lately and we are obviously very happy with that. Hopefully, that continues over the Labor Day weekend, as we are traveling east for some big shows and then of course the World 100. I have to thank all of my sponsors for their continued support!”

The #21 BMR team will head east over the Labor Day holiday weekend to enter a trio of high-profile events in the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia on September 4-6. The Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania will play host to a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown later tonight, while the rain-postponed ‘Firecracker 100’ will pay out a whopping $30,000 to the winner at Lernerville on Saturday evening. The huge holiday weekend will then conclude on Sunday at I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia, as the 47th Annual ‘Hillbilly Hundred’ boasts a $25,000 payday in a single-day shootout, which will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
