CALVERT CITY, Kentucky – Jarryd Holshouser beat the field of Super Late Models at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway by a resounding 10 seconds. The
win marked Holshouser’s second of the season. Tim Brown and Jeffrey Bailey battled side by side for second place throughout the 20-lap feature event.
Brown was able to edge out Bailey by .740 seconds to finish runner-up. Bailey finished third, with Scott Bell rounding out the field.
Bryce Jewell brought home another Open Wheel Modifed victory, narrowing the gap between himself and Trent Young for the season championship. Jewell took the checkered flag over 11-year old, Hunt Gossum. Bobby Despain, Josh Holley and Jeff Elliott finished third through fifth, respectively.
In the Pro Crate Late Model division, Troy English got the win. English bested Adam Ray by 2.367 seconds. Joe Mike came in third after
battling with Kevin Poole nearly the entire 20 laps and ultimately beating him by three car lengths. Neal Niesler rounded out the top five.
Chad Boone brought home the checkered flag in the Stock Car class, his third victory in as many races after sweeping the double header last
weekend. Terry Young, who won the heat race, came up short to Boone on a green-white-checkered finish. Rex Rutter and Tyler Stevenson rounded out
the field.
Mike Neighbors won yet again in the Pure Stock division, remaining undefeated on the season. Levi Bell challenged Neighbors in the early laps
but the 77MC machine prevailed. Mike Watson came in third and Phillip Byard in fourth.
Racing will resume at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 12th with a regular program. Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway will be
