Tri-City Speedway adds more money to this weekend’s Mod Mania

TCS Logo - flagsPontoon Beach, IL (September 21, 2015) Tri-City Speedway has added scramble races to Saturday’s portion of Modified Mania. Each of the two scrambles will pay $150 to win and

2nd $125, 3rd $100, 4th $75 & 5th $50 …..$40 to start. Each scramble will be a quick five lap shootout with the winner also getting a trophy. Right after the B Main checkers,

the remaining cars that don’t transfer to the A-Main will stay on the track and run a 5 lap shootout using a Delaware double file start.

Modified Mania starts this Thursday, September 24th and runs three straight nights. Thursday’s show pays $3,000 to win and $300 to start the A-Main while Friday’s show pays

$4,000 to win and $300 to start. The big show on Saturday will pay $5,000 to win and $300 to start. UMP Late Models will also be racing all three nights paying $2,000 to win

and $200 to start each night.

The Modifieds will also have a point fund for points accumulated over the three nights of racing that pays 1st….$500…2nd $300….3rd….$175…. $4th ….$150….5th ….$125.

Modified Mania will be a UMP DIRTcar sanctioned event and cars must comply with UMP DIRTcar rules. The Modified tire rule for this event will be Hoosier E-Mod 26.5 or 27.5

“A”, “A-40S” or “H” only. No “D” tires allowed.

Late Models will also be UMP DIRTcar sanctioned and must follow UMP DIRTcar rules. The Late Model tire rule is Hoosier L/M 20 or L/M 40 on left rear, left front and right

front. The Hoosier L/M 40 is the only tire allowed on the right rear.

Grandstand admission on Thursday is $18, Friday is $20 and Saturday is $22. Kids 12 years and younger are FREE in the grandstands all three nights. Pit admission is $35 each night with kids 12 years and younger only $15.

Tri-City Speedway is located just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO in Pontoon Beach, IL. Take exit 4 (Hwy 203) from Interstate 270 and go south on Nwy 203 for 3/4 of mile and Tri-City Speedway is located on the left. Our street address is 5100 Nameoki Road, Granite City, IL 62040.
