American-Modified-SeriesUnion, KY- October 23, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series would contest night number one of its 2015 season finale weekend at Florence Speedway in Union, KY and Kyle Strickler of Mooresville, NC would take the win in the Friday A-Main preliminary event prior to the Season Championship event on Saturday night, claiming a $1,500 payday and his second career series victory. Strickler’s winning effort would come behind the wheel of his Cedar Peaks Enterprises/Lethal Chassis/BSB Manufacturing/TomCat Performance/All Star Performance sponsored #8 Lethal Chassis powered by a Vasselnuick Engine Development powerplant.

Brian Shaw would lead the first four laps before surrendering the lead to fifth place starting Kyle Strickler, who has the nickname of the “Highside Tickler”, but Strickler would take care of business on the bottom the racing surface throughout the event and pull away to a comfortable lead, until the final caution of the event waved with four laps remaining in the 30 lap contest. Brandon Green had charged the top-side of the racing surface and would challenge Strickler over the final circuits, but Strickler would hold off Green’s advances to take the win, with Green finishing in the runner-up spot, while Tyler Nicely would complete the podium finishers. Matt Cooper and Devin Gilpin would complete the top five.

The remainder of the top ten at the completion of the Florence Speedway A-Main would be Clayton Miller, Brian Shaw, hard charger Josh Harris, Jacoby Hines, and Joey Kramer. The event would slowed by four caution periods.

In preliminary action, Matt Cooper was the Quick Car Racing Product top qualifier among 49 entries at 17.648 seconds. Summit Racing Equipment heat one went to Joey Kramer, while Clayton Miller scored the win in Wiles Driveshafts heat two. Hypercoils heat three went to Brian Shaw, with Brandon Green winning Frankland Racing Equipment heat four. The Out-Pace Racing Products B-Mains went to Billy Vaughn and Danny Schwartz. Series provisional starters were Larry Pickelheimer, Jr. and Ryan Morton, while Richard Gibson earned the track starting provisional.

The next event for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be the 6th Annual Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Season Championship event at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Saturday October 24 that will pay $5,000 to the winner.
